West Los Angeles that borders Beverly Hills and Westwood. Once owned entirely by Fox Studios, the district is now primarily commercial, though it is also home to just under six thousand residents. Much of Century City’s commerce is related to the entertainment industry; Fox Studios still occupies approximately one fourth of the 0.7 square mile district and Creative Artists Agency, for instance, is headquartered there. Century City is probably best known for its immense shopping complex. The Westfield shopping center has a gigantic parking structure that routinely accommodates thousands of patrons who flock there to explore high-end shops, eat at excellent restaurants, or see movies at the AMC cinema. The percentage of renters among Century City residents is much higher than such figures in Cheviot Hills or in other nearby Los Angeles boroughs; there are very few houses and no public schools in Century City proper, though families should note that it is very scenic and friendly, and that nearby schools in the West Los Angeles area are generally considered excellent. Residents enjoy easy access to many of the best culinary, artistic, and cultural destinations in the city: Westwood, Beverly Hills, Culver City, West Hollywood, and of course, Century City itself. Primary arteries: Santa Monica Blvd., Pico Blvd. ">
