About Usc
The University of Southern California is located at the 10 freeway/110 freeway junction near Downtown LA. The city blocks north of Exposition Blvd. and east of Vermont Ave. are known as University Park; to the west lies Adams-Normandie, and to the southwest, Exposition Park. These areas share similar demographics: a dense, younger-than-average, and ethnically diverse mixture of on-a-shoestring college students and lower-income families populates countless rental units.

Obviously, close proximity to a university as large as USC is very character-defining for such neighborhoods; Trojan sporting events, in particular, tend to influence foot traffic, subway traffic, and auto traffic quite profoundly. Residents enjoy access to most major LA freeways via the Downtown confluence, so centrality is definitely a perk, and many find public transit to be just as useful, considering how easy it is to get from the dedicated USC Metro stop to Union Station. The area is also very walkable and bike-able.
