Alhambra is a city that, along with its neighbors to the north (South Pasadena) and south (Monterey Park), makes up the western terminus of the San Gabriel Valley. It also borders the community of El Sereno in the west, San Marino in the northeast, San Gabriel in the east, and Rosemead in the southeast. Some of Alhambra's most notable demographics include its high population density (11,000+ per square mile) and its relatively large Asian-American population.
