About Perris
Perris is a midsized city in western Riverside County. It is primarily surrounded by unincorporated territories and natural preserves, though it does border Moreno Valley in the north and some smaller communities—Nuevo, Homeland, and Sun City—in the east and south. Perris lies east of the Santa Ana Mountains and southwest of the Perris Reservoir and Lake Perris State Recreation Area; proximity to these open, green spaces is a defining characteristic for Perris. Obviously, living there is markedly different from living in Southern California's more heavily urbanized areas like San Diego and Los Angeles.
