- Hey there! I am looking for a roomie to share a sunny, private and historic home in Venice. The common areas are furnished, however the available bedroom/bath is not. Your half of the rent would include: Private bedroom with huge closet, private bath, courtyard with lawn maintenance included, large kitchen w/dishwasher (shared), large living/dining room (shared), washer and dryer, wi-fi, Tivo, and there is always close street parking with no permit required and we have an option of parking in the gated area at the back of the property. About the place: It is a converted 1930s grocery store which became Black Panthers headquarters in the 60s, then a community center (the sign hangs in the living room), and then finally converted into a home about 15 years ago. It is typically Venice in that it's super bright and warm with hardwoods in the common areas and carpet in the bedrooms. You would have a charming courtyard with chiminea for chilling around at the end of the day!
