About Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a beachfront city in Los Angeles County. It sits just north of Venice Beach, at the terminus of the 10 freeway. You would be hard pressed to find a livelier center for shopping, eating, strolling, beach-going, or night life in the Los Angeles area. It is a destination for tourists and locals alike. Its pier and its notoriously bustling 3rd Street Promenade are great areas in which to spend either the day or the evening.
