About San Gabriel
The San Gabriel Valley's titular city lies in the west of the region, bordered by Alhambra in the west, San Marino in the north, East San Gabriel in the east, and Rosemead in the south. Like many Los Angeles municipalities, San Gabriel was originally a mission. It eventually became one of the very first towns in the LA metropolitan area.
