San Dimas is a city located in Los Angeles County, California. The City of San Dimas covers 15 square miles in eastern Los Angeles County, approximately 30 miles east of Los Angeles. San Dimas has adopted a Western theme which includes wooden sidewalks in the downtown area and an integrated network of equestrian trails which keeps the Western spirit alive. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 34,980. Since its incorporation in 1960, the unprecedented growth of San Dimas has transformed the city from a rural community to a well- balanced combination of industrial, commercial and diverse residential properties. With the completion of the Foothill and Orange Freeways, the city has seen an increase in population and land values which accompanied the freeway expansion.
