Pico Rivera is a city located in southeastern Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 63,428. Pico Rivera is often considered a San Gabriel Valley city, but as it lies below the Whittier Narrows, it is more properly one of the "Gateway Cities." As with neighboring Downey and Norwalk, its population has gone from mostly Anglo to almost entirely Latino since the 1980s.
