Bay Park is a neighborhood in San Diego that sits on Mission Bay. It borders Linda Vista and Tecolote Canyon Natural Park to the east, Clairemont
and Bay Ho to the north, and Morena to the south. Topographically, Bay Park is defined by hilliness, by myriad trees and shrubs and other greenery, and of course, by the Mission Bay coastline—all of which combine to lend the area a striking picturesqueness and natural charm. Residents enjoy access not only to views of Mission Bay, but also to dozens of little inlets and islands peppered with beaches, resorts, parks, restaurants, etc. In fact, the famous SeaWorld theme park lies just a short drive from Bay Park.
The neighborhood is not as walkable or bike-able as most of the rest of San Diego
; transportation there primarily runs through the 5 freeway, which snakes along Bay Park's western border with Mission Bay. Clairemont Drive is its other noteworthy local throughway.
