Valley Glen is a midsized neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley
region of Los Angeles. It is bordered by North Hollywood
and the 170 freeway to the east, Sherman Oaks
and Valley Village
to the south, Van Nuys
to the west, and Sun Valley to the north. Because it is home to Los Angeles Valley College, Valley Glen frequently teems with foot and bicycle traffic. Like North Hollywood, it is firmly on the list of up-and-coming Los Angeles neighborhoods; Metro development across the city has made easy access to a major hub like North Hollywood Station increasingly desirable.
Valley Glen's walkability and bike-ability are both above average. Local commerce is primarily concentrated to the south in Studio City and Valley Village, but Valley Glen residents generally enjoy strong accessibility—what with the 101, 405, 170, and 5 encircling them—so it is not difficult to launch off into other parts of the Valley, down into the LA Basin, etc.
