Universal City is wedged within the triangle formed by the Los Angeles River, Highway 101, and Barham Boulevard, directly west of the Hollywood Sign. It is, of course, home of Universal Studios and it is surrounded by the film industry – Warner Brothers Studios is to the northeast and Studio City is to the west. Directly north of the famous Hollywood Hills, this is the heart of Hollywood – and tourism. The Universal Studios Hollywood theme park attracts millions of guests each year, making it one of the world’s most-visited theme parks. If you want to rent near Universal City, you’ll likely want to look just outside the park on the southeast side along Barham Boulevard or on the northwest side along Lankershim Boulevard. Just off the 101 and along Ventura Boulevard is also a great location – it places you near a variety of shops and restaurants while still being just minutes from the park. Golfers, head north of Universal City – here, you’ll find Lakeside Golf Club, a members-only golf club with beautiful lake views.
