Corona is a populous city in the west of Riverside County. It lies east of Orange County and south of San Bernardino County, just at the convergence of the 91 and 15 freeways. One of Corona's most immediately noticeable features is its proximity to the Santa Ana Mountains, which lends an eminently pleasing vista. The Corona area came to prominence in the late 1800's when Southern California was an epicenter of citrus fruit production and it remained a primarily agricultural community for much of its history. It is now commonly considered a bedroom community for parts of Orange and Los Angeles Counties—meaning that many residents choose to live in the relatively secluded and relatively scenic Corona locale and brave the (let's be honest) nasty commute. Of course, most residents understand the trade-off between privacy—of which there is precious little in the Southern California area—and convenience/accessibility. Pretty much every major area from the Inland Empire to Orange County to the San Gabriel Valley to Los Angeles is accessible from Corona via the 91 and 15. It will just take some time on the road.
