Rialto is a fairly large city in the San Bernardino County region of the Inland Empire
. It borders cities like Bloomington, Colton, Fontana, Muscoy, and San Bernardino proper. Rialto, like many of its Inland-Empire neighbors, boasts a near-immediate proximity to the expansive and picturesque San Gabriel and San Bernardino mountain ranges. The city's centrality among such outdoor destinations as Mount Baldy, Lake Arrowhead, and Big Bear makes it ideal for prospective residents who prefer nature's charms to urban density. Rialto is a hub for distribution in the Southwest, hosting major centers for Target, Toys “R” Us, Under Armour, and Staples.
Like most cities in the Inland Empire, Rialto adheres to a proximity-is-the-key-to-happiness principle; don't expect to live there and commute anywhere outside of the San Bernardino-Riverside area without major frustration. If you work reasonably close, however, you'll be as happy as a clam. Major throughways: the 210, 15, 66, and 10 freeways.
