Garden Grove is a relatively populous city in the western/central Orange County
region of Southern California. It borders Anaheim
in the north, Orange
in the east, Santa Ana
in the southeast, and Westminster in the southwest. Garden Grove also surrounds the city of Stanton almost entirely. With one of the largest Vietnamese-American populations in the United States (second only to Westminster) Garden Grove exhibits some notable multiculturalism—and, of course, the cuisine that comes along with it.
The city is also known for its annual strawberry festival, a gigantic agricultural, town-fair-type celebration that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors. Housing is split fairly evenly between rental units and owner-occupied households. The Garden Grove Freeway cuts directly through Garden Grove, serving as the city's primary artery and connecting it to the 5 and 405 freeways. Finally, it seems pertinent to note that Garden Grove lies immediately southwest of the portion of Anaheim that contains Disneyland.
