About Gardena
Gardena is a city in the inland South Bay region of Los Angeles County. It is relatively populous and ethnically diverse among other cities and neighborhoods in the greater area. When it comes to multiculturalism, residents seem to be most enthusiastic about the opportunity to have their kids interact with people from different backgrounds in school—oh, and good food. Like the rest of the inland South Bay, Gardena has a large Asian-American population, and in particular, is known for having the highest percentage of Japanese-American residents in all of North America.

Gardena affords residents easy access to the 110, 405, 105, and 91 freeways, making it a more-than-decent place from which to commute. Its close proximity to the commerce of Hawthorne and to the restaurants and bars of Manhattan, Hermosa, and Redondo Beaches is also a huge plus—though most of these adventures are best accessed by car.
