About Hawthorne
Hawthorne is a city in the inland South Bay region of Los Angeles County. It borders—and in some cases, straddles—the Pacific Coast Highway east of El Segundo and Manhattan Beach. Hawthorne is known for being densely and diversely populated and for its centrality. Los Angeles International Airport is only about 5 miles away, and with the 405, the 105, and the Pacific Coast Highway so close, it is not difficult to zoom off into the rest of Los Angeles. Residents also enjoy close proximity to the beach, the large commercial centers along Sepulveda Blvd., and the restaurants and bars of Manhattan/Hermosa.

Because it lies east of the PCH, Hawthorne is not as flashy as the Beach Cities, but it is much, much more reasonably priced.
