About Chatsworth
Chatsworth is a neighborhood of the City of Los Angeles is the northwestern San Fernando Valley region. It lies just north of West Hills/Canoga Park/Winnetka and just west of Northridge. With only about 2,300 residents per square mile, Chatsworth has one of the lowest population densities in all of LA County, a figure that is commensurate with how remote, suburban, and upscale it is relative to other neighborhoods in the Valley. There are many more single-family homes than apartment complexes there because significantly more residents own (about 70%) than rent (about 30%).

Chatsworth's natural beauty is, perhaps, its most appealing feature: think wooded foothills, picturesque bluffs, and large swaths of government-owned wilderness preserve. As far as accessing the rest of the county, the 118 and the 27 (Topanga Canyon Blvd.) are your only real options—though, there is a decently sized transportation hub in town; it can get you downtown, east into the rest of the Valley, or up northwest toward Ventura.
