About Mar Vista
Mar Vista is a neighborhood located on the Westside of Los Angeles. It straddles Venice Blvd., west of the 405 freeway and east of Venice Beach. It is primarily a residential area, wrought with small-to-midsized apartment buildings, single-family homes, and schools—lots of schools. All told, there are twelve different schools of varying levels, both public and private, in the 2.9 square mile Mar Vista radius.

Residents enjoy easy access to the sights and sounds of Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach, the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, and the night life in downtown Culver City. Mar Vista is reasonably walkable/bikeable/bus-able if you work, as many of its residents do, in West LA or Westwood. New LA Metro stops at Exposition/Sepulveda and Exposition/Bundy figure to increase Mar Vista's stock significantly as they come into use over the next few years; in fact, mobility is already a perk to living in the area, as the 10/405 junction is a good launching point to anywhere in the city, traffic permitting.
