About Northridge
Northridge is a 9.5-ish square mile neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles. It is bordered by Roscoe Blvd. in the south, Corbin Ave. in the west, Devonshire Street in the north, and Hayvenhurst Ave. (generally) in the east. Most famously, Northridge is the site of California State University, Northridge, the third-largest public university in all of California. Thousands of students flock into, out of, and around Northridge on an everyday basis, lending the neighborhood a 'college town' feel; moreover, CSUN is intricately tied in with local commerce as a result of its collaborations with medical facilities and with businesses like MiniMed, an insulin pump maker.

With the 405/5/118 freeway confluence a few miles to the northeast, Northridge affords residents strong access to the rest of Los Angeles via car, and for those without vehicles, there is also a decent concentration of bus lines running through the neighborhood. Important arteries include Nordhoff Street and Zelzah Ave.
