About San Pedro
San Pedro is an incorporated community within the City of Los Angeles—the southernmost territory in entire county, as a matter of fact. It borders Lomita, Harbor City, Wilmington, and Long Beach. The city was once known primarily for its fishing industry, which is still a prominent feature in its economic makeup, but it is now known more for housing the Port of Los Angeles, the most heavily trafficked international container port in the United States.
