About Pasadena
Pasadena lies northeast of Los Angeles. Its history dates back to the 1800's when it was a tourist destination along several of America's railways. Eventually, the city came to host the Rose Parade, one of many Southern-California-hosted events in the 1890's designed to spur population growth and to showcase the area's utopian climate in the winter. Old Town Pasadena, originally a business district, is now a popular cultural and commercial destination.
