About Coronado
Coronado is a peninsular city that helps to form the San Diego Bay. It is directly adjacent only to Imperial Beach in the south, but it lies just across the bay from Chula Vista, National City, San Diego proper, and Point Loma. Coronado is best understood as a hub for tourism. Its economy relies upon a few major resorts, a smattering of smaller hotels, some shops, a variety of restaurants, and two theaters.

It probably goes without saying, but one of the main draws to buying or renting or vacationing in this area is the ocean. Beaches, boating, fine views...Coronado has anything aquatic you might be looking for in spades. Large swaths of its coastline have been preserved from development, so despite how bustling it can be, it avoids falling into an oppressive, over-expanded kind of vibe. Coronado is fairly walkable, and if you choose to drive, Route 75 is more or less the only way to move up and down the length of the city.
