About Diamond Bar
Diamond Bar is an ethnically diverse, middle-class city in the eastern San Gabriel Valley region of Los Angeles County. It borders Chino Hills in the east, Pomona in the north, and Rowland Hills/the City of Industry in the west. “Diamond Bar” is a bit of a strange name for a city, so in case you were wondering, it is based on a particular branding iron that was used by a local ranch owner back in the early 1900's.

Today, the city is mostly residential. Owner-occupied housing there dominates rental housing to the tune of an 80-20 split, which is commensurate with Diamond Bar's relatively high median annual household income ($90,000+). The city is within striking distance of several desirable San Gabriel Valley destinations, including the up-and-coming cultural pockets of Pomona and the Claremont Colleges consortium.
