About Agoura Hills
Agoura Hills is one of the westernmost cities in Los Angeles County. It straddles the 101 freeway west of Calabasas, southeast of Thousand Oaks, and north of the Santa Monica Mountains. Along with its way-west cohorts like Oak Park and Westlake Village, Agoura Hills is a markedly affluent community. Many nouveu-riche Angelenos have flocked there to build palatial homes over the last several decades.

Because the area is cut off from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles proper, Agoura Hills has a charming, tucked-away sort of feel to it, though not for lack of development; residents have access to normal goods and services in their own back yards and do not generally need to travel into the San Fernando Valley or the Los Angeles Basin, though many commute to these regions for work. The 101 is your primary pipeline for heading out to the rest of Los Angeles County. Be careful of traffic heading east around the time the large pharmaceutical companies along the freeway send their workers home for the day.
