About Calabasas
Calabasas is a large, sparsely populated city in western Los Angeles County. It lies in the north of the Santa Monica Mountains near Woodland Hills, Hidden Hills, and Agoura Hills. Over the past couple of decades, Calabasas has become a destination for celebrities and the nouveau-riche; some of the single-family homes and estates there are as large and as lavish as any in Los Angeles County's more traditionally affluent areas (Beverly Hills, Brentwood, the Hollywood Hills, etc.).

The natural beauty of the Santa Monica Mountains and their various foothills is obviously a draw. The area was once home to a large host of technology companies, many of which have relocated or closed their doors, but major companies like Bank of America, The Cheesecake Factory, and Ixia still maintain large centers of operation there. Primary arteries: the 101 freeway, Parkway Calabasas, Las Virgenes Road, and Mulholland Highway. Calabasas is extremely car-dependent.
