Fontana is 42-ish square mile city in the southwestern corner of San Bernardino County. It borders Ontario in the west, the Jurupa Valley and Glen Avon in the south, Rialto in the east, and the exceedingly beautiful San Gabriel Mountains in the north. With a population in excess of 200,000 residents, Fontana is the 14th most populous city in the state of California. It is a significant center for the trucking industry in the Southwestern US, largely based on its proximity to a fairly dense web of freeway junctions; the 15, 210, 66, 10, 215, and 60 all converge at various points within a 10-mile radius of the city. The healthcare industry also has a strong presence in Fontana. Beyond the accessibility that residents enjoy with so many freeways nearby, one would be remiss not to mention the area's green, open space. The mountains are not just there to look pretty: they offer hiking, climbing, skiing, camping—you name it.
