Newhall is a community in the south of Santa Clarita, which is a part of Los Angeles County to the north of the San Fernando Valley region. It lies near other Santa Clarita districts like Saugus, but is otherwise surrounded by the wooded foothills and mountains of the San Gabriel and Santa Susana ranges. Such proximity to open, green spaces is obviously a perk to living in Newhall and the southern Santa Clarita area.

The other side to this coin: accessibility is not Newhall's strongest suit, especially when it comes to lighting out across the rest of LA County; commuting south to the Los Angeles Basin is possible, but not practical.
